Installing wooden wall hanging foyer coat rack is a simple procedure that does not require special tools or advanced carpentry skills. Hanging a lightweight shelf is a one-man job that can be accomplished in an hour, but it’s a good idea to hire help if the shelf is heavy or difficult. With proper installation, your shelf will appear as if it had been installed by a professional.

Instructions

Use a control detector to locate wall rails. Lightly mark their places on the wall just above where you want to place on the top of the foyer coat rack. Determine the height and side mode for installation durability. Mark a weak vertical chalk line on the wall where the upper center of the shelf becomes. Using a level like a straight edge, draw a weak horizontal reference line on the wall, indicating the position of the top of the shelf. Measure and mark the center of the top of the shelf. Place the shelf so that its top is aligned with the horizontal reference line on the wall, and the center of the device is aligned with the middle mark on the wall.

Select the position of the wall controls on the top of the foyer coat rack. Take down the shelf. Measure and note the distance between the lateral sides of the device to the stud position markers. Transfer these measurements, and mark stud positions in the center and bottom of the shelf.

Use a lowering drill tip, steer whole drill bit through stud position markers. Replace the sink with a standard wood drill bit. Move the shelf on the wall, plan and adapt to the center mark. Holding the device in place drill a hole through the arrow hole near one side of the shelf, at least one inch into the wall.

Use a driver a little and screw to secure the device to the wall. Check again to check that the device is still the level. Drill through another arrow hole in a stud on the opposite side of the shelf, and fasten with a screw. Drill through each pilot hole in the rules. Secure the shelf on the wall with screws. Fill the holes after the wood kettle recess. Wipe out excess fluff before it dries.

When the fluff is dry, apply paint or bite to putty to match the shelf. Screws should be long enough to pass through the shelf backing plus two inches in the wall. A fast-changing drill / screwdriver bit makes this job goes faster. If the shelf is made of a thin wood, do not lower the pilot holes; instead, install cabinet washers between the screw head and the shelf backing in unusual places.
